Step 1: Furniture & Room Prep

• Clear the Perimeter: Move all furniture at least 2 feet away from walls and baseboards.
• Empty Storage: Remove items from closets, dressers, and nightstands. Place unlaundered items in sealed plastic bags in the center of the living room.
• Bedding: Stand mattresses and box springs up against each other. Remove the thin fabric "dust cover" from the bottom of the box spring and discard it.
• Wall Decor: Remove all pictures, mirrors, and clocks from the walls and place them on the floor in the same room.

Step 2: The Laundering Process

Heat is one of your best weapons against bed bugs.

• Wash and dry all linens, clothing, and stuffed animals at the highest allowable heat settings (140°F+).
• Dry clean items that cannot be washed.
• Place all clean/dried items into new, sealed plastic bags and keep them sealed until the infestation is cleared.

Step 3: Vacuuming

Mechanically removing bed bugs reduces the population instantly.

• Vacuum all carpets, rugs, and floors.
• Use a crevice attachment for mattress seams, bed frames, and upholstered furniture.
• Immediately discard vacuum bags or debris in an outdoor trash bin.

Treatment Day Safety

For your safety, please follow these exit protocols:

• 4-Hour Window: All humans and pets must remain out of the home for at least 4 hours after the treatment is finished.
• Aquatics: Cover fish tanks and turn off air filtration systems.
